The Jets dealt him to the Quebec Nordiques in November 1985 and he remained with the Nordiques until finishing up his playing career with the Detroit Red Wings in 1989-1990. Picard was originally drafted by the Washington Capitals with the third-overall selection in the 1977 Amateur Draft and he spent time with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal before joining the Jets. He sold life insurance during the off-seasons in his native Montreal and he was in the crowd for Game 7 of the 1977 AVCO Cup finals at Le Colisee in which the Jets lost to the Nordiques. |
