I remember the day in the BACM Cafeteria when Saul Simkin brought Bobby Hull in to meet everyone. It was such a surprise and when I shook hands with Bobby Hull I had never seen such a big hand in my life. What a great man he was and what a great team that first team was. Hope the new Team does as well. All the best to the greatest team in the NHL

my teenage hockey life was the WHA and the Quebec Nordiques, but one could not help but admire the greatness of the Jets during those years. Hedberg/Nilsson/Hull were a tremendous line {second only to Tardif/Bernier/Cloutier, of course}. Now its time to get behind the new Jets and hopefully in five years we will see the return of Les Nordiques

should have kent nilsson on the most memorable jets too. wasn't his fault the jets chose lukowich and campbell instead of kent and terry ruskowski, who almost should be on the list also. ruskowski and nilsson would have anchored the team for years, instead of having a hot headed lukowich and an obviously injury prone campbell on defence. and no, this isn't hind sight, anybody, except whoever picked them, would have seen this for sure! I went to every game and warm up.....

The Jets were such a neat team going back to the WHA years right through the NHL days. I still wish they were in the league, hopefully they will make it back to the NHL one day. I really like the Memorial Site, nice job. I think it is great that fans keep these great memories alive.
A fan from Philly,
Jason

I greatly enjoy your site. It brings back a lot of pleasent and some unpleasent memories about the team. I loved that team even though it broke my heart, more times than I care to remember.

Thank you for putting the time and effort into this site. I really enjoyed reading the entire site and all the old memories it brought back. As a kid I watched the jets in the WHA and still remember the anger I felt when Hawerchuck, Babych, and Selanne were traded. I often wished that Selanne had been kept and that bum Tkachuk had been dealt instead. I noticed that you didn't mention that in that 7 game series the Jets lost to Edmonton 2 of the Oilers wins which were both 1 goal victories came after one goal was given to Edmonton even though the puck hit the post and never entered the net and in the other game the replay showed the jets scored but the refs let play continue and the goal never counted. The Jets actually defeated Edmonton 4 games to 2 and 1 game was tied. Edmonton went on to win the Stanley cup.
